Carrie Underwood Releases Sultry New 'Drinking Alone' Music Video

Carrie Underwood just released the sultry new music video for her latest single, "Drinking Alone."

In the clip, the country star is seen on stage at a dimly-lit bar performing the mid-tempo track while a leathered jacket man watches from a booth. The video alternates between Underwood singing on stage and her sitting in the booth with the man drinking.

"We should be drinkin' alone together / Drownin' the pain is better / With somebody else who got problems / We ain't gonna solve 'em / The misery loves company," Underwood sings.

"Drinking Alone," written by Davis Garcia and Brett James, is Underwood's fourth single from her 2018 Cry Pretty album. Previously released singles include "Cry Pretty," "Love Wins," and "Southbound."

This past year has been a busy one for Underwood. She recently wrapped up her huge "Cry Pretty Tour 360," which took her to 60+ cities across North America. Joining her on the trek were opening acts Runaway June and Maddie & Tae.

Last week (November 13) Underwood co-hosted the 2019 CMA Awards alongside Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. The country star was nominated for multiple awards this year, including a nod for Entertainer of the Year.

In addition to co-hosting the big event, Underwood also took the stage for a few memorable performances. She joined some of country music's most iconic female singers at the start of the night for a historic opening number featuring country classics from over the years. Later on she brought her single "Drinking Alone" to the big stage. Underwood rocked a black sequin and lace outfit with a fedora, very similar to the one seen in the new music video, which can be seen below.
