Carrie Underwood Announces First Tour Date of 2018

Carrie Underwood won’t be behind the curtain for much longer.

The country superstar, who has remained relatively private during the recording process for her sixth studio album, has announced she is among the headliners of the 36th Annual WE Fest this August in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

The performance is so far Carrie’s only announced concert for the year, one full of mystery for “The Champion” singer’s fans.

Carrie hasn’t appeared in public since she suffered a wrist and face injury following a November fall at her home in Nashville.

She revealed in a note to fan club members on New Year’s Eve that there is “much uncertainty as to how things will end up” and she “might look a bit different” after doctors put more than 40 stitches in her face.

“It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life,” she wrote at the time.
